GO ye into all the WORLD

Preach the GOSPEL

– Mark 16:15

Doctrinal Positions

I Believe…

  • In the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments – 2 Tim. 3:16
  • In the preservation of God’s Word through the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Textus Receptus – Ps. 12:6-7
  • In God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – 1 John 5:7
  • That God created the world in six literal twenty-four hour days – Gen. 1:1 – 2:1
  • That all mankind is sinful, in need of salvation, and unable to save himself – Rom. 3:23, 6:23
  • That Christ died for the sins of all mankind and that salvation is by grace, through faith alone, based upon the finished work of Christ on the cross – Eph. 2:8-9
  • In the bodily resurrection of Christ and His bodily ascension into heaven, where He now intercedes for believers – I Cor. 15:3-4; Rom. 8:34
  • In the reality of Heaven and Hell – Luke 16
  • That man was created as a responsible being and as such, he may choose to accept or resist the grace of God – Rom. 1:18–21
  • In the eternal security of the believer – Rom. 6:23, John 3:16
  • That the local church is God’s institution to carry out the Great Commission and discipleship – Acts 2:47; Matt. 28:19-20
  • That the two ordinances of the local church are baptism by immersion for believers only (Matt. 28:19; Acts 8:36-37) and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial – I Cor. 11:25
  • In the pretribulational rapture of all believers – 1 Thess. 4:16-18
  • In the premillennial return and millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ – Rev. 20
  • In the judgment of believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ (II Cor. 5:10) and the judgment of unbelievers at the Great White Throne – Rev. 20:11
  • In the obligation of every believer to live a holy life (II Cor. 6:17; I Peter 1:15-16) and to witness to the lost of the saving power of Christ – Mark 16:15
  • That God has given gifts to each believer to strengthen the local church and that the pastor and the evangelist are given to perfect the believers in the church today – Eph. 4:8-13
  • That speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established – I Cor. 13:8-10
  • That God designed the biblical institution of marriage and that it is defined as one man and one woman together and that once they are joined, they should remain in that union until the death of one or both – Gen. 2:24

Philosophical Stances

I Believe…

  • That the extremes of Calvinism and Arminianism are both unbiblical.
  • That all forms of compromise with liberalism, ecumenicism, neo-evangelicalism, or the charismatic movement should be avoided by those who wish to live in obedience to God.
  • That the King James Version is the best English translation of the Bible.
  • That music should be conservative and is an instrument of glorifying God. Therefore, we must be careful to avoid worldly styles of music.
  • That the purpose of the Evangelist is to serve the Pastor in whatever way is needed so that the gospel message can go out to those in the surrounding area. The work of the Evangelist is carrying the gospel to the lost and the message of victory for the believer in his walk with God. Both will aid in the development of the local church. This is a task to be accomplished by the Evangelist cooperating with the Pastor of a local church for the time that he is serving there.
