Merry Christmas

Dear praying friends and family,

Merry Christmas to each of you! It is hard to believe another year has come and gone! I trust that each of you are doing well and enjoying God’s richest blessings in this season. We have so much to thank God for in sending His Son Jesus to this earth and for His blessings from day to day.

I wanted to take the time to update everyone on what is going on in my ministry as August was the last time that I had sent one out. I do want to apologize for the long delay. However, there are so many things that have been going on as I have been waiting to see how God would lead. You may remember that in my last prayer letter  I mentioned an unspoken prayer request. I am happy to be able to say that I can say God has answered with a resounding yes. I am so thankful for God’s leading as He has brought Karyn, a young lady with a missions heart and a desire for soul-winning into my life! Just last week we were engaged to be married! I am attaching picture of us so that you can see the answer to prayer. I am so grateful for her friendship and for how God has brought us together. We want to wish you all a merry Christmas together, and thank each of you for your prayers. We are excited what God has in the days ahead as we prepare to serve the Lord together. We have plans to be married on May 12, 2018. She has been a short term missionary for a time in Peru and is now back in the states. God has clearly led us both down the path to this point. Pray for us as we plan to report back to her churches next year after marriage and hopefully be able to present the ministry to the churches once again. Our goal is to be able to continue taking meetings overseas as well as help smaller ministries who cannot afford to have an evangelist. We both have a great desire to further the cause of assisting in church planting and revival work.  We are excited for the VBS opportunities that have come up for 2018. We look forward to continuing to serve the Lord in full time evangelism taking VBS and revival meetings. If God would so lead, we would love to take the opportunity to serve you.

I wanted to also let you know of another opportunity that God has given to us as I have been asked to represent Flying Eagle Ranch. This is a camp in Ga that has a soul-winning heart and God has been doing some great things with this camp. Levi Rose Jr.  just became the director as of this past summer and Lord willing, I will be preaching there for the second time this coming summer. Please pray for God’s leading in how and what I should do in my connection with this ministry.

Things have been going well in the ministry at the church where I am serving on staff in between meetings. There has been one young man named Tyler who accepted Christ as his personal Saviour. There have also been a couple of young people who really seem to want to make some steps of growth. I just praise God for all that He has done.

In closing, I would like to leave you with a few specific prayer requests.

  1. That God would be glorified in every decision that needs to be made as Karyn and I plan to be married.
  2. For Christ to be magnified in our lives together and that He would have first place
  3. For Tyler to continue to grow and  be faithful to church.
  4. That God would continue to supply meetings

Once again, I want to thank you for all your prayers and support over these last few years as I have been serving God alone and looking forward to a new chapter as Karyn and I serve the Lord together. We both covet your continued prayers and look forward to seeing some of you soon.

What a summer!

Dear praying friends,

I trust that this letter finds each of you doing well. God’s blessings are without measure! How undeserving we are for the grace and mercy He grants with each passing day. The service of the King is such a wonderful thing. Once again, in two months, so much has happened, maybe I’ll have to write more often! Haha!

It was a blessing to have a couple of chances to be at VBS for the summer, and God tremendously blessed with souls saved! One of the churches I was in last year and it was so great to see the kids still attending regularly at the church and growing. It was also great to see a few new children, some of whom the Pastor was not expecting to come. The other church I was at two years ago and it was a blessing to see what God has done in that ministry as well. One of the great joys of being in evangelism for a few years is the privilege of seeing remaining fruit! My heart was helped for sure!

My time in Haiti was very profitable, although it was very eventful in ways I would have preferred not to have experienced! One thing that God showed me once again is that where He is at work, Satan is also working overtime. I had trouble with my flights on the way down and back with them changing flight schedules or being delayed. One plane was delayed due to mechanical failure. Because of that, I missed almost two days of ministry in Haiti. We also had a young man who nearly died right in front of us. Thankfully God had the right people there at the right time to spare his life.  But nonetheless, souls were saved and Christians were able to be encouraged to keep on for Him and grow. The question answer time with the young people proved to be a very helpful time. They especially had many questions regarding eternal security. It appears each time I go back to Haiti, that God has more work for me to do in this needy land! Although God has not lead me there full time, He has definitely put a huge piece of my heart in this small island!

I believe that there were somewhere around 20 or more saved this summer so far. All glory goes to Him for the increase!

There is so much I’d love to say here, but I am going to leave it for another time as I share some things God is doing in my ministry!

As I look at this coming fall and summer, there is a good bit of open time for any needs you pastors may have. Should God so lead, it would be a great joy to serve in any capacity whatsoever!

As I close, I’d appreciate prayers specifically in several ways.

  1. That God would lead me in the major decisions I am currently facing regarding ministry transition in full-time evangelism!
  2. That my walk with God would grow stronger
  3. A special personal unspoken
  4. souls to be saved!
  5. health and safety in travels and for more meetings.

May God continue to bless each of you! I am so grateful for the prayers and financial support of each of my readers.

Wonderful Blessings!

Dear praying family and friends,

It is hard to believe that nearly two months has passed since my last update and so much has happened that I feel I am long overdue for another one. God has been so good over the last couple of months despite a few minor health problems that have come up. I am trying to work through those, but I am so thankful for God’s goodness!

Many of you are aware of my recent decision through much prayer and seeking God’s face for wisdom to step away from Chick Fil A to be able to focus fully on ministry. I am very grateful even for the closed doors! God has lead through them. Since there were so many possibilities, they have been narrowing and in unique ways made what is NOT of Him obvious. I am encouraged by that to know I am getting closer to what He DOES want!

For the last 5 weeks, I have been serving at Bible Baptist Church in Brownsville, Pa and seeing God bless tremendously! Though it has been very different for me, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the Apostle Paul and how though he had an itinerate ministry, would sometimes spend a few weeks, months or even a year or two in one place doing the work of the evangelist. Though I greatly enjoy a week of meetings and believe firmly that it is something that God wants to be done, there are also tremendous benefits of spending longer than just a week. In the short time I have been here, it has been a great joy to see folks making decisions to reach out to neighbors and invite them to church or mentor someone themselves. They are beginning to catch a vision for what God wants! I have also watched God give them a greater desire for prayer! There is also an eleven-year-old boy who came to church as a result of a community outreach recently! Others have made initial contact with the church and been exposed to the gospel! Pastor Dallas will be coming June 12 as their full-time Pastor and I will be hitting the road very soon after that for a summer of meetings. Please pray the work God has started will continue on into the future! I would be thrilled if God would open another opportunity down the road to spend several weeks in a place doing what I have been able to do here, as He opens doors. Please pray, pray, pray! All the efforts will be in vain without the hand of God and the power of prevailing prayer! My prayer is that God would give at least 30 souls this summer. God has already seen fit to save 3 so far and others have received the Word.

Into the fall and early parts of next year, my schedule is still pretty open. It is not too early to begin thinking about events you may be looking to have help with in the upcoming year. If the Lord should so lead, I’d love to help in any way possible. Sometime in 2018 or early 2019, Lord willing I will be making a trip to the Solomon Islands to help in an outreach there being organized by a missionary in Austraila. Our goal is to get 50,000 scriptures in the hands of school-aged children, as well as lay groundwork for aggressive soul-winning and discipleship efforts in the months and years ahead should the Lord tarry! The need is great! If as an individual or church you would be interested in having a part, feel free to reach out so I can let you know of the various ways in which you could have a part in this effort!

Many thanks to the praying friends and faithful supporters of God’s people in many different ways. As, I have been making my way through 2 Timothy once again, God just really gave me a special blessing by noticing the life of Onesiphorus who Paul says ” sought Paul out and oft refreshed him” While Paul was experiencing trials, and blessing alike, he was grateful for those who came along and encouraged in many different ways, whether through prayer, love gifts, or just being there. I am blessed personally to have many such people in my life as well and want to say a very BIG thank you for all of those things! May God richly bless you and I am praying for you!

Truely Blessed

Dear Praying Friends,

It is my prayer that this letter finds you all doing well and having enjoyed some extra time reflecting on what God did for us in sending His son and His wonderful resurrection! It is such a joy to know we serve a risen king!!! Maybe some of those reading this update will have seen other posts I have made in recent times and therefore be getting this information again, but many of you keep up solely through the email updates, so I thought it would be a good time to share some of the things that have transpired recently. I learned not all that long ago that the house I had been staying in would no longer be available where I have been staying. In addition to this, I have spent much time seeking God for direction in my ministry over the last few months. Through God’s leading, it has become apparent that He wanted me to step away from Chick Fil A for an indefinite period of time to be able to take part in various ministry opportunities that have been presented to me. A pastor in the upstate of New York has been talking to me about helping him in one form or another between meetings as well as maybe arranging other meetings in the needy New Egland area. There are some other possibilites. I know I have been very vauge regarding future plans. For those of you who have kept track through social media, it is because I am still seekng God for more specific direction as to what all He may have for me. Nonethless, I am excited as God has seemingly been answering specific prayer on these initial steps. This past Sunday, after an evening service, A man came up to me asking for some spiritual help. It was a great thrill to be able to lead him to Christ personally!

I am also excited to announce that for a month and a half, I will be interim pastoring a church that is waiting for the pastor they have called to be able to come in mid June! This will be some wonderful hands-on experience that God will be able to use in the future as God continues to open doors of evangelism!

A blessed time!

Dear Praying Friends,

There is nothing in all this world like serving the King of Kings! This last couple of weeks it was a real blessing for me to be able to spend some extra time serving the Lord!First, I was in Brownsville, PA preaching for a Sunday at Bible Baptist Church. This ministry is in search of a Pastor at this point, so it was just pulpit supply, but still it was a great privilege to be involved in this ministry and see what God is doing through them! They have been without a Pastor for around 6 or 7 months. Please pray that God would supply a shepherd for them! Another evangelist friend of mine will be filling in for them for a couple of months and will be able to hopefully help them get somewhat established again in between meetings.

After this, It was a joy to be part of the second and last winter retreat of the season for Servant’s Heart Camp. They met on a beautiful lot about an hr away from their camp. God brought about 30 teens or so out for the weekend, and I got to preach 6 times over the short time that we had together. God particularly moved in several of the teens hearts regarding surrender! I am incredibly thankful for those who had tender hearts and responded to what God was showing them. It was a humbling reminder to me of how God desires to use us as we follow His leading. Going into the weekend, some of the times I was a little unsure to begin with what God wanted me to preach, but each time it seemed God led me to the right message and there were several who responded to the Word of God and hopefully went home to make the choices they needed to make! It was also a blessing to see old friends and meet some new ones too!

Right after the retreat ended, I jumped in the car to head up to Faith Bible Baptist Church in Rome, NY. This is a a little ministry that God has given to Pastor Nino Camulgula. He is serving in the military as well as pastoring this ministry. I got to preach for him in Sunday School and the evening service. Also before leaving on Monday afternoon, I was able to distribute a few copies of John and Romans on that street! Praying that souls will be saved and come out the the church! This area is heavily saturated with Cathalocism, and in desparate need of the gospel. It was a blessing to just go encourage this brother in Christ!

Looking ahead to the summer, I do have a couple of VBS meetings lined up as well as I will be going to Haiti in the end of July beginning of August again! I am very much looking forward to this! It will be for a youth retreat there! I cannot wait to be back with these dear folks. I do have a few openings for VBS this coming summer if you are in search of help, as well as a my fall being open for churchwide revival meetings! Some of my summer events are not yet listed in my itenerary as details are being finalized. Please let me know if you feel the Lord would lead you to have me help you in any way whatsoever!

I am pretty excited about sometime in the near future giving more information on a project. Lord willing, I will be helping with distrubuting God’s Word in the schools in the Solomon Islands and preaching!

Most of all, I ask that you would pray for me to have a vibrant walk with Jesus and that souls will be saved!

Yours for Evangelism,
Stephen Wracford

Merry Christmas

Dear friends and family,

Merry Christmas! Hard to believe it is that time of year already! Seems like just yesterday that I was writing a thanksgiving update! I trust that you all are doing well and staying warm! I am thankful to be able to say that I am now in Pennsylvania spending some time visiting family for the holiday! It is a tremendous blessing to be able to celebrate the birth of our Saviour with family!

So much has happened since my last update. In that update I mentioned about the car situation. It is a great blessing to be able to say that God has provided a car! I had to retire my previous vehicle after using it for about three and a half years. It already had about 175,000 when it was given to me and I ran it till it had 235,000. All that time, it had been very dependable with few repairs. But the last time I took it to my mechanic, he informed me that it was not worth fixing this go around. Admittedly, that was a real trial and time of waiting on the Lord as I continued the search for a vehicle for nearly a month and a half after selling my old car to the mechanic. But Jehovah-Jirah led me to a car that had only 76,000 miles on it and allowed me to get it! So far, it has been great and I have taken it to PA, my longest trip with it so far and it did a wonderful job! Praise God for this blessing!

As I come into the new year, it looks like meetings will begin to pick up once again. I will be helping at a teen mentoring event at my home church in Taylors in January and later on at a teen winter retreat in February ( I am hoping for lots of snow for the retreat! )  My summer is beginning to fill up with VBS opportunities, some confirmed, others still being discussed, as well as preaching at a summer camp ( my first time doing that ) Please pray for this as it will be an opportunity to reach lost young people with the gospel of Jesus Christ! I do have a few openings still in my summer for VBS and other things should the Lord lead you to have me serve you in that capacity. If you are at all interested, please feel free to email or call me for more info on the timing. This year’s theme for VBS is, Lord willing, going to be ” Jesus, to the Rescue” with various applications between first responders and Jesus the greatest rescuer there is! I am very much looking forward to it! Some exciting things ahead and a missionary story each day!

God has given so many blessings, and I look forward with great anticipation to hitting the road again in 2017! Praying for souls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, Merry Christmas! I trust you will have a wonderful time celebrating the birth of Christ and spending time with family! God bless!

Thanksgiving and Ministry Update

It has been a very busy last few weeks! But I wanted to get this out before Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone coming up! I hope you have a wonderful day celebrating and giving thanks to God! We sure do have a lot to thank God for! For family and friends, for the ministry God allows us to have and just the everyday things we take for granted. I trust that this coming week we will be able to take some extra time to count our blessing so to speak.

I want to take this time to count some blessings God has given me! A few weeks ago, I had a wonderful meeting in Claysburg Pa at Emmanuel Baptist Church! The people there were such a blessing and the sweet spirit there was amazing! Several people showed up who either never been to the church or who hadn’t been in a very long time! The Pastor was encouraged as well as I was. Several unsaved visitors throughout the week too!  God just gave us a fantastic week! And many Christians made decisions throughout the week

I also want to thank God for the blessing that my car has been! I’ve had it several years now and finally had to retire it after taking it to the mechanic and him telling me that It was not worth fixing up. But, in this situation, I can see several blessings! First, It did not happen while I was on a trip or had a lot of meetings scheduled. Second, It has been a very good car, and it had 235,000 miles on it and had been extremely dependable. I miss it but am thankful that my mechanic has allowed me to borrow one of his vehicles until I can find one. Pray for me to have wisdom with this and that I will be able to find a vehicle soon that will meet the needs of the ministry!  I have hesitated to mention anything about this because I do not want to make people feel sorry for me, nor to give the wrong impression. But I feel it is important to let my prayer supporters to know how to pray specifically.

I am thankful for each of you who read these updates regularly and pray regularly! I know that God answers these prayers and uses you in a tremendous way through that avenue. Thanks again to each of you, and may God bless you all this thanksgiving and I trust you will have a wonderful time with family and friends!

Joyfully Serving our Risen Saviour,

Stephen Wrachford

Micah 6:8

God is Good!

It is hard to put into words just how good God is! I continually find myself noticing the blessings that God sends and wondering why God would show such goodness to me! God gave me the privilege of preaching this past Sunday at a church in Macon, Ga and seeing a good number of visitors! In the Sunday School, I preached on the resurrection, and Sunday morning, I preached the account of the Garden of Eden and was able to share the gospel. Although I don’t know for sure of anyone who got saved, the people seemed like they got a blessing from the day, and there is possibility of meetings in the future! God has just been sending these little blessings and opportunities along the way at the times when I am least expecting it.

I’d like to share something that happened recently since I have been off the road a good portion of the fall. One night, I went out to grab a bite to eat and ran into this guy who worked there. He asked me what I was doing, and just so happened that I was preaching the next morning filling in at a little area church. I had been studying 1 John. This by the way has been a phenomenal study for me in recent weeks. Well, as I began to share with him how much God longs to have fellowship and that God sent Jesus to die and be raised again so that we could have fellowship with Him! He said he had been reading in the book of Revelation, and it scared him! It gave me a wonderful opportunity to witness, and leave a gospel tract. I share this to encourage you that there are opportunities waiting out there! People are searching! Pray I would be able to follow up with this gentleman sometime soon!

In all, I have had a tremendous year. 27 children saved in VBS ministries this summer! A tremendous revival meeting back in April with Pastor David Foote, and about 30 or so that were saved in Haiti when i was there about two months ago!

Id just like to share a few Prayer requests.

Please pray for brother Leon Foote, a good friend of mine, and the father of the Pastor I was with in April. He has some serious health needs and has a heart for ministry, but he just needs some extra prayer as he battles his health concerns with cancer and other things.

Please pray for Haiti and the US with the damages from Hurricane Matthew and that God would use this to waken His people and draw the lost to himself.

Please pray for me that God would expand ministry opportunities and meetings and that there would be lasting fruit! I’d love to be more involved in ministry and less occupied with Chick Fil A or even not need to be there all together.

Please pray for a special unspoken I have as well.

In every area I want to be yielded to God and useful for His work! If there is ever any way whatsoever I can be of help to you or pray for you, please feel free to reach out!

Joyfully Serving our Risen Saviour,

Stephen Wrachford

Haiti Trip Update

As I begin this update, I would just like to extend a special thanks to all those who prayed for the missions trip! I know that your prayers made all the difference, and I could truly sense the prayers. In my first week, it was a joy to work with Harry Peart doing a young people’s conference on a Wednesday through Friday. We had great group of young people out for the week. There were a couple of people who really seemed like they were under conviction regarding their need for salvation, but did not get the need taken care of. One young man stepped forward and some others began snickering at him, which discouraged him from coming. It was a very sad thing to see, and the conviction was obvious any time the need for salvation was addressed throughout the week. Just pray for him that God will continue to convict and draw this young man to Christ.

There are three other missionary familes who live in the same compound area as the Pearts, each of whom I had the privilege of meeting.  Dr. Ann Livingston is a medical doctor who has been serving there faithfully for many years meeting the physical needs of the Haitian People. Then, the Tim Bower family who has a church plant right next to the compound, and the Baker family who lives with the Bowers. I had the privilege of preaching in Brother Bower’s church on Wed night while I was there. On Sunday, I preached in Brother Pearts church. He has been faithfully working with this congregation for several years and just recently was able to get a building started. They were about ready to have the roof put on when I arrived. A construction team came the day I left to assist in that project. The national that Brother Peart has been working with to place as the Pastor is a very good man with a heart for God. It was a joy to meet him!  In the Sunday morning service, God began something there at that church in his life that I feel is very key to the continuing growth and forward movement of that ministry. Praise God for all He has done! The whole while the youth conference was going on, there was a voodo ceremony going on maybe a five to ten minute walk from the church. The national pastor to be pointed to a clump of trees and told that a voodo ceremony was taking place just on the other side of that clump of trees. It was heart breaking to think of that going on so close to the church and during the same time as the youth conference. It was a solemn  reminder that when God is at work, so is Satan. But, I am thankful God is greater! In fact, this Pastor had been saved out of voodo and had been born into the family of a witch doctor. At the time of his salvation, he was in the process of buying more power with Satan, but God miraculously saved him and now He is passionate about winning souls!

My second week was very full working with some good friends of mine from Dunbar Baptist. Kathy Gouker and Alice Wise as well as a national, Pastor Cebian during this week, I was helping a little boy named Audson ( pronounced udson)  do his schoolwork in ACE. He has been having a problem with his eyes that makes him unable to see at times. And no one can seem to figure out what it is. His parents have been trying all they can, So, I read  his work to him, and asked the questions and was able to help him in school! I enjoyed it tremendously, and it was a blessing to be able to encourage him. Please pray he can get the help he needs. The situation there is very complicated and hard because of government regulations and medical quality. During the week, I also preached in Chopin for a week and saw God work in lives there! It was also, a joy to preach in the Christian School Chapel three times. Later, Pastor Cebian invited me to a very remote place called Robinette. I went on a Saturday and returned on Monday. We showed a film on the life of Christ Saturday night then I got to preach on Sunday. The best part, a group that had barely any knowledge of God or the Bible! They didn’t even own a Bible. So, I started with creation and the fall of man, then explained salvation. Praise God, in all there were 24 or so who accepted Christ in the mountains of Robinette, Haiti. Pastor Cebian is about ready to plant another church there, and has already been responsible for over 200 church plants in Haiti! We had the privilege of celebrating his seventy-second birthday while I was there, and He is still going strong!

This is just a brief summery of the many things God allowed me to take part in while I was there, and my heart is truly full for what He allowed to take place. This is the 7th foreign country God has allowed me to visit, and although the language barrier and living conditions were much more difficult than some other places I have been, It was a tremendous trip, and from the very start, God gave me a love for the people, of this needy land! A piece of my heart is left behind in each of the countries I have been, and Haiti was no exception. watching the coastline disappear as the airplane takes off is always the hardest thing I do any time I leave a foreign country. Lord wiling, Some pictures will be posted on facebook soon!

Ministry Update

I am not  even sure I know where to begin with this update as I think about how incredibly good God has been! Not to mention, quite some time has passed since my last formal update as well. The summer has been very busy, yet very fruitful! My first meeting for the summer was a VBS with my good friend Pastor Jim Ogle at Emmanuel Baptist in Kings Mountain, NC , who was also one of my professors in college. It was a great joy to get to know him better as well as serve in his ministry. He was a blessing all throughout my college days, and currently is being greatly used of God in the ministry there.

From there, I went to be with my Dad, Pastor Bob Wrachford in Dunbar, Pa to conduct a Bible School. My siblings jumped right in and participated in helping to prepare things. This was a great opportunity to serve along side them this particular week for God’s glory. Several children made some solid decisions in their lives to get things right with God. If they will remain tender throughout their lives to the Word of God, it will be incredibly exciting to see what God will do in the years ahead with them!

After this week of meetings, I went to Meshoppen, Pa to serve with a Pastor I had never met before. But Pastor Myers is a wonderful man of God who has been there since beginning the church 40 years ago! He still has a fervor to reach out to his community there in the mountains of north central Pa. Several children accepted Christ and showed a wonderful understanding of the plan of Salvation! That right there was just so exciting!

Maineville, OH was my last VBS for the summer. and God clearly moved in a great way there as well. This was my second time to help out there under this good friend, and we are already beginning to toss some ideas around for next year! Following this time. I was able to preach a teen rally at my home church, in Taylors, SC , then go up to the annual Landmark Conference at Ambassador Baptist College.

Each week was marked by special answers to prayer! In fact, before I began the summer, I was praying for at least 20 souls to be saved. God went far above that! To my knowledge there were 27 that made profession of faith. And I have not even gone to Haiti yet! That trip will be from Aug 9 – 23. Please pray with me that more souls will be saved!

As I close this update, I just want to say, I covet your prayers above anything else! I want to be useful for the cause of Christ and to be yielded to Him in every way. Please pray for an unspoken prayer request I have. Second, please remember to keep the missions trip in prayer. The country of Haiti some years ago was officially dedicated to Satan, and there is a lot of witchcraft, and voodoo is their primary religion. This country, which is classified as fourth world is, indeed, in desperate need of the transforming power of the Gospel! It is a small nation, but God is a great God who cares even about the tiniest islands of people in the world! Third, please pray for God to guide in my car situation. It has been repaired several times recently and it is getting to the time to be considering what God would have for me to do with that. Just want to wait on Him, not running before or behind but exactly following His leadership in this area. I am absolutely thrilled at what God is doing! It is a joy to be a small part of God’s work and to let Him do the impossible as some exciting possibilities begin to present themselves. If I can ever pray for you in any way or be of help in any way whatsoever, I hope that you will feel free to contact me.

Joyfully Serving our Risen Saviour,

Stephen Wrachford
